It's Christmas under the helicopter
A festively decorated fir tree at Christmas time brings a festive holiday atmosphere to a village. On Wednesday morning, the traditional fir tree was set up on Zermatt's Bahnhofplatz. The special thing: In Zermatt, the fir tree arrived by helicopter of Air Zermatt.
This year's Christmas tree of Zermatt was felled in the area of Wiestiboden by the forestry company and then transported by helicopter to the Zermatt train station square. The tree weighs about 630 kilos. In the coming days, the Christmas tree will be decorated. The inauguration party of the Christmas tree will take place on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 16.30 clock on the station square Zermatt.
