A strong partnership for difficult times
Air Zermatt has been working closely with Care Oberwallis for many years and also supports the organisation financially. This partnership is a key component in dealing with psychologically stressful missions and their aftermath. An exchange took place at the weekend.
During its rescue missions, Air Zermatt is repeatedly confronted with difficult and emotionally challenging situations. The focus is not only on those directly affected, but often also on relatives or accompanying persons. In such cases, rapid and professional support is crucial.
Care Oberwallis offers precisely this support: trained Care-Givers are available immediately after stressful events. Their help can demonstrably prevent or at least minimise psychological damage. In addition, the organisation can also provide emergency psychological specialists and organisational help if required: sensitively, professionally and precisely when it is needed most.
Exchange at the Zermatt and Raron bases
Last Friday and Saturday, various representatives of Care Oberwallis, including Care-Givers and emergency psychologists, visited the Air-Zermatt bases in Zermatt and Raron. The purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise and deepen the collaboration.
‘We greatly appreciate the support of Care Oberwallis and are grateful to be able to count on this professional help in the event of an incident,’ says Oliver Reisten, Medical Director of Air Zermatt. ‘The exchange was inspiring and has encouraged us in our work.’ Air Zermatt is convinced that difficult situations can only be overcome together through strong partnerships.
