Course Description
When fighting fires in rugged terrain, the use of helicopters is an efficient method. For over 10 years, Air Zermatt has been providing specialized training to fire departments throughout Switzerland and abroad. Air Zermatt is the first helicopter company in Switzerland to have its helicopter courses for fire departments certified by the Swiss Fire Department Coordination (FKS).
Due to high demand, advanced training courses for firefighters were introduced in 2016. These courses are designed for participants who have successfully completed both the basic course for firefighters and Advanced Training Course I. The advanced training courses build on the knowledge gained in the basic course and are supplemented by additional practical exercises.
