Helicopter firefighting mission at dusk
East of Rosswlad, a fire had broken out in the early morning hours at about 1800 meters above sea level. The firefighting work was started at dusk with the firefighting helicopter of Air Zermatt.
East of Rosswald, a fire had broken out in the early morning hours at about 1800 meters above sea level. For the extinguishing work, the rescue helicopter Bell 429 with the rescue crew was used at the beginning, before a crew with the Lama SA 315B took over the further extinguishing flights.
According to information from the Brigerberg Fire Brigade Commander Damian Escher, the fire was quickly brought under control and most of the area was extinguished. No persons had been injured.
