Partnership with Ski Valais

On Wednesday, representatives of Air Zermatt and Ski Valais met in Zermatt to seal a new collaboration. The aim of this partnership is to promote Valais skiing talent. At the same time, the young skiers are to be made aware of the professions of Air Zermatt as well as mountain rescue.

Within the framework of this partnership, the best female and male skier in the JO category (12 to 15 years) are honored every year. For one year they are allowed to carry the title "Rookie of the year". So that the two youngsters can be easily recognized on the slopes, they will each receive a slalom helmet and a giant slalom helmet in the colors of Air Zermatt. They will also be invited to a visit day at the helicopter company, where they will be given an insight into its day-to-day operations. In addition, Air Zermatt will present the two young ski talents with a voucher worth CHF 500 each.

Etenia Dufing from the Aletsch-Riederalp ski club and Romain Bovon from the Bela Tola St-Luc ski club are the first to be awarded the title of "Rookie of the year".

The ski clubs of the two young talents do not go empty-handed either. Thanks to Air Zermatt's partnership with Ski Valais, the clubs will each receive a set of slalom poles to complete their training material.

With this partnership, both Air Zermatt and Ski Valais want to promote the next generation of Valais skiing talent.
