Rescue operation after helicopter crash in Lower Valais
On Tuesday morning shortly before 10.00 a.m., Air Zermatt was alerted by the cantonal Valais rescue organisation KWRO that a helicopter had crashed on the north face of the Petit Combin.
Air Zermatt took part in the rescue operation. Air Zermatt immediately took off with three helicopters from the bases in Zermatt and Raron. Three rescue specialists from Zermatt were also on board.
Three people died in the helicopter crash and three people were injured.
