School of life for top young talent from Ski Valais

Mia MacMillan and Tom Tornay are the best young skiers from Valais in the JO category. Air Zermatt presented the two skiing talents of Ski Valais with a helmet in the colors of Air Zermatt. For one year, the two skiers may also bear the title "Rookie of the Year".

Air Zermatt promotes the next generation of Valais skiing talent through a partnership with Ski Valais. As part of this partnership, last season's top two skiers, Mia MacMillan and Tom Tornay, visited the Air Zermatt base. During their visit to Zermatt, the young skiers were given exclusive insights into the helicopter company's professions. They were also able to enjoy the unique mountain scenery of the Valais during a sightseeing flight around the Matterhorn.

Life saving experiences

Finally, the Air Zermatt rescue crew demonstrated to the young skiers how they can provide first aid to their fellow human beings in the event of an accident. As a highlight of this introduction to first aid, the young athletes were allowed to practice cardiac massage on a rescue dummy.

In the coming ski season, Mia MacMillan from the Dent-du-Midi Ski Club and Tom Tornay from the Verbier St-Bernard Ski Team will now be able to wear the blue Air Zermatt helmet with the inscription "Rookie of the Year".
