Skiareatest: Air Zermatt receives award for winter rescues
This winter, Air Zermatt was awarded the golden rescue trophy for the winter 2021/22 by the International Skiareatest! The crew had the pleasure of receiving the prize including a certificate for winning first place last weekend in Gstaad.
Every year, the International Skiareatest honors the best of the winter season. For 26 years, the Skiareatest team has been on the road in the European Alpine region, putting tourist destinations under the microscope.
Under the direction of Klaus Hönigsberger, more than 220 experienced Skiareatest members of various professions and nationalities, including experts from the cable car industry, executive officials, journalists and professionally competent amateur skiers as well as anonymous families with children, collect impressions in participating ski resorts in the European Alpine region.
The International Skiareatest has now become a premium brand and is used for the continuous development of quality, safety and offers in Alpine tourism.
This winter, Air Zermatt also made an impression with its rescue service. Their services in the interest of the patients during the local winter season were rewarded with the golden rescue trophy. The winter awards ceremony took place in the Eggli mountain restaurant in Gstaad, amidst the beautiful mountain scenery. Sandro Imboden, Ground Operation Manager, looks back on a successful event: "We are delighted to be part of the skiareatest and thank the organizers for this unique honor."
CEO Gerold Biner is equally pleased: "For Air Zermatt, this award is a great honor. It is also a recognition of the great and tireless service to patients that our employees provide every day. Air Zermatt has every right to be proud."
