Specialized wood course

In close cooperation with Walliser Wald and the company anseilen.ch, we were able to welcome over 20 foresters and forest guards from regional forestry companies to our base in Raron. The majority of the course covered the topics of climbing, belaying, preparation, weight calculation, radio procedures, emergency procedures and much more. 

A guideline was created for this purpose, which is intended to serve as a checklist for the partners involved in upcoming Spez-Holz assignments. It has been shown that there has been a good and meaningful exchange of experience between the forest wardens and with the helicopter crew.

This contributes to greater safety during this "high-risk operation" and prevents risky situations.
