Angela Steiner celebrates her 25th anniversary with Air Zermatt
Together with the technical team, Angela cares about all the helicopters.

25 years at Air Zermatt: “I was already homesick after a week…”
25 years and counting: That’s how long Angela Steiner has been working at Air Zermatt. With three different roles under her belt, she currently works on the technical side of the company. Surrounded by screwdrivers, piles of documents and half-assembled helicopters, the 51-year-old describes it as a job for life.

The Air Zermatt Training Center – helicopter training for firefighters from all over Switzerland
As a former fire chief and member of the fire service in Canton Schwyz, Kari Pfyl (59) tackles emergencies caused by nature and weather, as well as people. With the goal of training as many specialists as possible in this area, he conducts the basic firefighting course and advanced training courses I & II on a freelance basis at Air Zermatt. Participants in the newly certified firefighting course at the Air Zermatt Training Center learn how to handle the helicopter in an emergency.

High school teacher spends six years developing the Lama
Philip Diehl from Germany had no interest in programming – until he happened to get involved in machine development for flight simulators, that is. He spent the last six years programming and perfecting the Lama, despite never having sat in one before.
Philip Diehl is 39 years old. He was born in Germany’s East Frisian region on the North Sea and now lives in Stuttgart, and is a high school teacher whose subjects are math and music. All of which actually has very little to do with Air Zermatt.
