The “Gran Becca” race slope starts on Swiss soil at 3,720 meters above sea level, making it not only the earliest ski event in the FIS calendar, but also the highest. The finish line at Laghi Cime Bianche (2,810 meters above sea level) means that the route crosses the border into Italy.
